Fruit bars



This nutritious bars are ideal for breakfast or as snack with coffee or tea. They are great after exercise and during a walking tour.

Note: keep in mind to put the the strips in the refrigerator to harden.

Ingredients

  • 200 grams of cookes lupin beans, unpeeled
  • 100 grams oatmeal
  • 100 grams sunflower seeds
  • 100 grams dates
  • 150 grams raisins
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • pinch mixed spices or cinnamon
  • half a teaspoon of grated rind of an organic orange (to taste)
  • coconut grater to finish the outside

  • Preparation

    Chop the dates along with the raisins and lupin beans as fine as possible.
    To do this, use a food processor or blender. Chop the sunflower seeds coarse.
    Mix all ingredients carefully to a solid mass.

    Bring this over on a piece of backery paper and shape into a band with thickness of 1 to 2 cm.
    Fold the backery paper close, form a nice packackege and let this rest a few hours in the refrigerator.

    Tips

    Cut into squares it is a yummy treat with coffee.
    Also delicious with extra almonds and dried apricots.
