This delicious rolls are perfect for lunch, snack, picnic, or as a hot meal with fried potatoes and salad.

You can easily make them in advance. Get them immediately out of the oven after baking, to keep them crispy.

Ingredients

  • 400 grams of cooked lupins, unpeeled
  • 10 slices of frozen puff pastry, thawed
  • 1 onion
  • 1 clove of garlic, finely chopped
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1,5 teaspoon 'gehaktkruiden'(a mix of paprika, thyme, nutmeg and caraway)
  • pepper and salt
  • parsley
  • olive oil

  • Preparation

    Fry the onion for 10 minuteas over low heat, add the garlic and fry for 2 minutes more.
    Grind the lupin beans, garlic, soy sauce and herbs in a food processor, and add a little water and a drizzle of olive oil to make it creamy.
    Put the mixture in a bowl and taste the flavor, add any extra spices.

    Remove the plastic sheets from puff pastry.
    Place the slices with the side on which the plastic skin sat up on a clean work surface.
    Put a roll of lupin mixture on each slice and fold the slice. Press the wide brim with a fork and leave both short sides open.
    Bake the rolls in the middle of the oven until golden brown in 35 minutes on 190 c

    Tips

    The rolls are delicious both warm and cold
    Let them cool down after backing, for the filling is very hot
    You can freeze the backed rolls
